ABOUT
SAND AGORA
The Sand Agora is an introspective space placed within the infinite flatness of La Pampa. a territory where landscape is no longer background, but protagonist.
Conceived as a contemporary ruin, the project blurs the boundary between architecture and sculpture. It appears first as a solid habitable object, almost a large sand castle, then slowly begins to crumble. Wind, water and time erode its surface, deforming and de-sculpting it until the object returns to the horizon.
Made from the Pampa itself, the piece becomes a portal, a threshold and an ephemeral monument: an architecture that does not resist the landscape, but accepts its disappearance within it.
