Sometimes, the bin calls me.
Bin: Shhh… come closer, Karla.
Karla: Stop seducing me. People can see me looking at you.
Bin: Look — forgotten treasures.
Karla: Okay, okay. I’m intrigued.
Bin: We could make something epic together.
Karla: I think I have a crush on you, Bin. My seasonal love.
Trash Art begins with the seduction of discarded things.
The project approaches waste as a field of accidental forms, forgotten textures and possible narratives. What has been rejected becomes material for drawing, humour and transformation.
Between found object, sketch and urban residue, the work explores the strange intimacy of looking into what the city throws away — and finding, inside it, the beginning of another image.
