University Innovation Park explores the educational building as a continuous public interior: a place where learning expands beyond the classroom and becomes part of a larger spatial experience.
The project is organised around a central axis that crosses the site from end to end, linking the Innovation Boulevard with Camposalles Street. At ground level, this axis structures the access system and concentrates the most public functions of the complex. As it enters the building, it folds vertically, generating a continuous spatial sequence of voids, bridges, terraces and shared areas.
At the heart of the proposal, a large multi-height space is crossed by a helical staircase. More than a circulation element, the stair becomes a social device: a place of pause, encounter and informal exchange, where students, teachers and visitors can occupy different levels while rediscovering the city from above.
The project proposes that the contemporary space of learning is not limited to the room where classes are taught. Knowledge also emerges in movement, in conversation, in visual connection and in the collective spaces that connect one programme to another.
